Expo's Story...
Comments from our kennel staff: "Expo is a beautifully marked boy who has a quiet nature, and is somewhat shy until he establishes a bond of trust. He is absolutely full of love and affection for his favorite humans, and will be a great pet for a calm, quiet couple looking for a loving pet that's a "homebody" or an experienced greyhound owner. He will potty on lead if necessary, but would do best in a home with a fenced yard. Expo also gets along well with other animals, and would most likely enjoy a multiple pet home. Basically, he's a quiet, shy, sweet natured hound with a heart of gold for his favorite humans."***UPDATE 7-13-09*** Expo has recently been placed in a foster home, so we will have more on him as he settles in."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Expo, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
