Bola's Story...
This wrinkly beauty queen has been at the shelter for a long time healing her ravaged skin and has finally come around enough to be ready to go to her forever home. Despite her extended stay and the fact that she's been feeling pretty crummy, Bola has been nothing but friendly and good-natured the whole time. She will only require minimal exercise and we think she'd do fine in any household except for the loudest, craziest ones. Bola is OK with cats and we think she could be fine with a properly matched male dog. She'll be a wonderful, calm house dog. She loves people and is very affectionate. From what we've observed, we think she'll be fine with kids as she's very gentle and sweet-mannered.

Act quickly to adopt Bola. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bola, a Berkeley Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
