Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Olivia is Adopted
Olivia is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and her adoption fee/donation is $250
Olivia is a 6 yr old Bichon Frise’, she came to our rescue from a puppy mill in southern Ohio.
Olivia has been with us for a few weeks now.
She is coming out of her shell very gradually, and it will take many many more months at least for her to be comfortable around humans.
It could take a year or more, each mill dog is different.
What we have learned about her so far is that she loves being around other dogs, this will be a must in her adoptive home.
She definitely needs the companionship of at least one other dog in her new home.
She is very skiddish still, and for her safety, we are also requiring a secure fenced in yard.
Olivia does not have a mean or aggressive bone in her body, she is very sweet and nicely tempered.
She is a typical mill dog, she runs away if you approach her, and freezes in fear if you catch and hold her.
She is not your ordinary well socialized dog.
She is special needs, and will need an experienced adopter.
Someone willing to give her the time and patience she needs to blossom and learn to trust.
She is learning house training, and she will do her business outside, but isn’t completely trained yet.
She is such a cute little girl, and wants attention, she really wants to be loved, but her fears still get the best of her much of the time.
If you are experienced with mill dogs, and can give this special little dog the home she needs, then please consider adopting her.
If you have never experienced a mill dog, then she is probably not the dog for you.
Olivia is spayed, microchipped, had a dental is up to date on vaccines, and tested heartworm negative.
