Maxwell's Story...
I’m Maxwell, a male Chihuahua/Corgi mix born approximately 4/07. I have been neutered, am up to date on shots, and tested negative for heartworms. I am a very laid back man who would love a calm, non-chaotic home and family. My foster mom lets me sleep in the bed under the covers and she said that my manners are perfect. I sleep well through the night, am doing very well on potty training (after marking at first) and wouldn’t mind a stay-at-home mom since I get a little upset every morning when foster mom goes to work. I could go to a home with other furkids, but only if they don’t bother me and expect me to play with them. I’m more of a people dog than a dog-dog. I don’t do well with children as they make me very nervous and I don’t want to play with them either. If you are looking for a well-mannered man to add to your family that doesn’t chew and is very loving and calm, you’ve come to the right place and are reading about the perfect pup.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxwell, a Baton Rouge Chihuahua/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Corgi for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Chihuahua/Corgi dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
