Speedy Danika's Story...
Hi, I'm Speedy Danika,

My mom was running around loose without being spayed (whatever that is) and her former owner let her have lots of babies like me and my brothers and sisters Ashley, Tigra, Baby Calli and Rowdy

Well, a kind couple who lived next door decided to put a stop to that. She took in our mom and said as soon as we were born she would find us nice homes where we would be safe and warm. Friends for Life is helping with that and we can’t wait to find our new homes where we promise to play with you and give you lots of love and purrs.

As for mom, she’s very happy in her new home and will soon be spayed. They say that’s good for her and I know she loves her new life and her new parents. We can’t wait to meet ours!

Lots of Love,
Speedy

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Speedy Danika, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
