My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Copper was found after being dumped in a cemetery very frightened. After a few hotdogs and some kind CPR volunteers gentle loving coercion, he gladly went with them and is now in a very loving foster home. He has a shy edge but when he bonds, he adores his caregiver and family. Copper needs a home with an area to run and play then come in for snuggles and family time. He will do best with a fenced in yard and older children.

This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at the Southbury Green in Southbury on Friday March 29th from 2pm-6pm. Then CPR will be at Petsmart in Plainville on Saturday March 30th from 10am-2pm and lastly on Sunday March 31st CPR will be hosting an Open House at our center located at 522 N. Georges Farm Rd Southbury from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog has tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
