My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cain is a 1 year old Alaskan Malamute / German Shepherd mix who is a major fence jumper. I have tried everything to keep this dog in the yard, I've taken him out for longer walks and jogged with him, bought a treadmill, bought two different in-ground fence systems and he ignores them both. I just keep him indoors for the most part but he clearly isn't happy. He's a very friendly and social dog. Last time he got out one of my neighbors was afraid of him and shot him in the head with a b. b. gun so he has a little sore on his head from that but it's healing. I just got him his rabies shot maybe a month ago so he's up to date. I refuse to chain him up because he could get hurt or get tangled up and unable to reach water, etc... and I can't put up a privacy fence because I live in a rental house. He has had a few accidents in the house but as long as he's taken out regularly he is fine. He does well with other dogs and cats. He is sometimes too eager to play but has never hurt another animal. He does howl when sirens go by. He loves water. He'd really like a small plastic pool to be set up in your back yard, otherwise he uses his water bowl for play. He likes to be close to his people. Cain is not neutered. Adoption is contingent upon obtaining a voucher for neutering at Pet Savers at a cost of $60.00 prior to finalizing the adoption. Please, if you know anyone that can take a beautiful Malamute mix please contact Stephanie via e-mail: waltzforaidan@gmail.com.
