I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Kodie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Kodie's Story...
Kodie is a 3 year old male Boerboel mastiff. He weighs 150 pounds. He'd like to be adopted with his mate Sadie. Adoption fee for the pair is $550. They will be adopted to an indoor home only. They are great with all people, young and old and in between. They are not good with all other animals they meet so will also only be adopted to a home with no other animals... these two have enough love to give by themselves!

Kodie and his sister Sadie were turned into a shelter when their owners moved. They do not appear to have had much contact with other dogs or cats, and they are very devoted to each other. Kodie LOVES people. He especially loves children and is very gentle. He is super sweet, and loves to get pets and snuggle. He is UTD on shots, neutered, housebroken and crate trained.

If you are interested in Kodie and Sadie, please contact me or fill out an application at www.greatplainsmastiffrescue.org . They have no pending applications as the website states. Once the application is completed, they are available to see in Tomball, Texas.

Thank you for considering a rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kodie, a Houston Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Houston, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
