Tasha's Story...
Please contact Jay (hellerich@aol.com) for more information about this pet.

Millicent came to Smiling Dog Farms about a year ago from the local Animal Shelter in Wharton. She had been picked up, roaming the streets of Wharton and no one had claimed her. If she had not come to live at our farm, she would have been euthanized.
When Millicent arrived, she did not 'show' and we had no idea she was carrying puppies, until one day we heard the tell-tale cries of babies coming from inside her cottage! She had two beautiful baby girls, Tisha and Tasha, who look nothing like their mother - daddy must have been a wire-haired terrier because they certainly look the part. They are also looking for their forever home.

If you are interested in Millicent, tisha or tasha please request an application at Adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tasha, a Wharton Bearded Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie for sale in Wharton, or seeking a Bearded Collie dog from a breeder in Wharton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wharton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wharton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie breeders who help with Bearded Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wharton paves the way for another one to be saved.
