Bridget's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Bridget's Story...
OH! Poor, darling Bridget was adopted from the shelter 2 years ago to a woman who adores her. Due to health problems, she has to move in with her family and can't take Bridget with her. Both parties are heartbroken and we're hoping a miracle will mean Bridget doesn't have to do too long a second term. Bridget is frisky but not hyper and can settle down nicely. She is housebroken and knows basic commands. She's affectionate and people-oriented. She gets along with many other dogs but some seem to set off her "bark" alarm. She would do fine in a house with a well-matched dog but would also like to be an only pet. She doesn't like cats, period. She can be protective of her food so she should be in an adult-only home.

Act quickly to adopt Bridget. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bridget, a Berkeley Flat-Coated Retriever/Borzoi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Borzoi for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Borzoi dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Borzoi breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Borzoi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
