Olivia's Story...
Breed: She seems like some sort of dwarf cross. Possibly with lop, because her ears are set lower, but they are still straight up right now! Size: Probably will end up being a medium size female Color: brown (she looks like a wild bunny!) Approximate DOB: 2/13/2009 Reason in rescue: This group of bunnies came from a rescue in NY. They got in 3 pregnant females and ended up with 12 baby bunnies! We offered to help out, so here they are! Personality: This girl is an absolute cuddlebug. When you pick her up, she snuggles right into you and pushes her head under your chin. She's also very outgoing and comes running to the side of the pen to visit and get cuddles!! She's going to be a fabulous house bunny. She doesn't mind being picked up and seems to really like being held. Plus she's gorgeous!! Special Needs: None. Olivia must be spayed between 4-6 months old if adopted out before then Friends: Right now Olivia is not living with anyone else, but would be a good candidate to be bonded after she is spayed! She is good with polite dogs and cats! Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen. Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (email for the application), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. Suggested adoption donation is $65 prior to spay/neuter with a $40 refund upon proof of neuter. This rabbit must be neutered between 4-6 months, or Judge's Park will take them back. . **“Please email if you are interested in adoption. We respond to all emails within 24 hours** Recommended Food: Oxbow or Kaytee alfalfa pellets (until 6 months), timothy/alfalfa hay, limited veggies Bedding: Newspaper, Yesterday’s News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olivia, a Edinburg Dwarf was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dwarf for sale in Edinburg, or seeking a Dwarf from a breeder in Edinburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edinburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edinburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dwarf breeders who help with Dwarf rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edinburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
