Her given name is 'MOCHA' but we don't know why. That name implies a chocolate cat. This girl looks like a cat from the laboratory of Dr. Frankenstein. She is a calico cat but she is also a tabby. She has tabby stripes but also the black, cinnamon & orange coloring of a calico. Folklore has it that a cat of this coloring is good luck. Some in the USA call this kind of a cat, a 'money cat.' So far in her foster home, she hasn't discovered a pirate's treasure but she is good as gold.
Mocha is a sweet girl whose timidity takes awhile for her to shake. She will venture out if you are on the computer, or somewhere stable (like lying in bed), where she can creep up & tentatively sniff you. If you remain still, she will rub herself against you, flicking her tail cautiously, then, if really brave, she will butt into you with loud purrs. When all is calm & no danger looms, she can be seen batting a straw or playing with her toy mice. She's a doll!
Mocha is in a foster home with other cats & dogs. She's only recently venturing out when the dogs are around. The resident cat is mean to her & hisses at her all the time. We are eager to get her into a home where she can be loved without such animosity. She deserves it because she's a charming, sweet girl. Her left cheek sports a big orange freckle that we like to think of as a beauty mark. Her face is so endearing.
Mocha (Marmie) is declawed, microchipped, spayed & up to date on her vaccinations. She has excellent litterbox manners & is low maintenance. She is indoor only & shows no interest in going outside.
This sweet kitty has a modest adoption fee. An application is required.
