BJ's Story...
Hi, I'm BJ, and am a 2 year old shepherd mix, but we can't quite figure out what I'm mixed with - maybe Lab or Australian Shepherd. I am very quiet and sweet and love to give kisses and wag my tail alot. I am medium size and weigh about 55 lbs. I was rescued from a shelter by a nice lady and am now living with my foster mom, 3 German Shepherds and a cat, but I don't pay any attention to the cat. I like playing with the dogs, and don't care if they want to share my bowl of food. I am a little shy of people at first, but warm up pretty quick once I get to know them. I am house broke, and I am working on my basic commands. I very rarely bark, and like to go for walks. I want my own family so bad. Won't you please consider me to be a part of your family forever. I would like a fenced-in yard so I never get lost again. Please contact my foster mom Susan at susan.kimball@intermec.com or in the evening at 513-894-3076 and she can tell you more about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BJ, a Petersburg German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Petersburg, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
