apply to adopt

Hi there! I'm Sage, a beautiful 8 year old little chocolate lab mix who was rescued, treated for Heartworm, and now is ready for my new home. I am a GREAT dog- I love all people, all dogs, all kids, and even cats! I am housebroken and extremely affectionate, mild mannered, and I have that fabulous temperament people go crazy for in really good labs. I am slowly gaining back my strength and weight after treatment, so kids who are steady on their feet would be best for me, but I am fine with kids of all ages to come and visit me! I love treats, love visiting and meeting new people, and love to be with you all the time. I'd be a great companion for any family!
Come and meet me- I promise to melt your heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SAGE, a Palatine Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
