Named by: Steve Weiner

Hi there! I'm Emma, and I am an adorable 5-7 year old Papillion/Chihuahua/Doxie mix. I was not treated well in my former life, so I am pretty scared of a lot of things, like loud noises, sudden movements, and even new people. I want so badly to be your friend, but it takes a little bit for me to know that you will be gentle and love me. Once I know that we are friends, oh my! I LOVE you!!! I will wiggle and roll and jump up to give you kisses, and snuggle right up into the crook of your arm. Because I haven't had the easiest life, I really need a home with someone who is soft-spoken, gentle, and patient. My nerves cannot handle kids, so an adult-only home will be best for me. I am a very healthy girl, and do great with calm dogs who don't overwhelm me, and cats seem to be ok for me, too. I'm healthy and quite the adorable little girl, if I do say so myself, and now all I need is a quiet home to show me that nothing but a loving family is all I ever have to worry about from here on out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EMMA, a Palatine Papillon/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon/Dachshund for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Papillon/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Dachshund breeders who help with Papillon/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
