LOTUS is a 2 yr old, 14 lb, cream Cockapoo, who is blossoming a little more each day! This little one was left behind with her "hubby" and son....when her pet parents were evicted from their home. The landlord brought them to the shelter, and they were all scared, unsocialized and confused. Lotus couldn't walk on a leash and didn't pee for 2 days when she arrived at Lhasa Happy Homes! We don't think she had ever worn a collar. Now, just a week later, she is alive, happy, playful, kissy, excited to see you when you arrive and the memories of her recent past are all but gone. She is still a little skittish around loud noises, but she will cling to you for dear life! She LOVES to have her belly rubbed and would be wonderful in a home with kids over 8 yrs old who will play with her and teach her tricks! She is very smart! In fact, she is using the pee pee pads and going outside exclusively (still, no guarantees!). Lotus would love to have a canine pal to be with...but if you have an active family who will be with her most of the time and play with her, she could be an only dog. She will howl if she is left alone, but she does quiet down (so an apartment would not best suit her). Any family to adopt Lotus will be a lucky family indeed! She will be available a/o May 10. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

We hold our adoption events most every Sunday from 9am - 2pm at the Brentwood Farmer's Market (West Los Angeles). You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
