Booker's Story...
Booker is a 9 month old puppy. He is 22 pounds, so he is a Giant Minature Schnauzer or a Small Standard. He also has the longest legs and a cute litle mohawk on the top of his head. He was brought to Phoenix from a Missouri puppy broker and has since been raised with other dogs, cats, and children. Booker is not insistant about sleeping in bed with his foster family. He likes to find a pillow or blanket on the floor and is set for the night. We have many foster puppies so Booker is not completely housetrained, but does use puppy pads. It isn't that he can't be trained, it is just very hard to train multiple puppies at the same time. He is still a puppy and likes to chew, you must be ready to work on training and put away your favorite pair of shoes.
Booker is neutered, microchipped, and had his vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, 5-in-1). His adoption donation is $225 and is refundable within 30 days if he does work out in your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Booker, a Mesa Schnauzer (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
