My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking at them, you would think that these two kids must be related, but no. They actually met at their current foster home, and have become fast friends now. Both are quiet natured, affectionate, lap cats, and very people-oriented. However, they are also both shy of strangers and unusual situations, so they need a quiet home and people they can get to know and lavish their attention on.

Smudge was born in February of 2006, and is a very ladylike girl who loves to cuddle. She will sit patiently waiting for you to signal that you're ready for her, and then she will rush over and present her head for scratching. She is also a big fan of belly kisses! She has a quiet nature, but does have her perky moments. Smudge came to us traumatized and starving. Because of that she was over-indulged in her first foster home, so she is on a diet and is more than halfway back to her healthy weight.

Mr. O'Malley is approximately two years old, and quite the mellow guy. He is quiet, friendly, enjoys attention, and will happily keep you company as you walk around the house. His favorite activity is to watch birds, squirrels, and other critters from a window perch. He will talk to you in soft meows, and answer if you call him. We often wonder what kinds of conversations he imagines we're having with him. Mr. O'Malley has had urinary crystals and is on a special diet to prevent any recurrence. For convenience, Smudge is on the same diet, and likes it very well.

Mr. O'Malley and Smudge, like all ARCF cats for adoption, have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
