Charlotte was rescued from Shelter. She had spent over seven months of her young life in a cold, concrete cell, while the court case for her previous owner dragged on! She had been beaten and used as a bait dog by him.
Despite this horrific treatment Charlotte, somehow, maintained a sweet, loving, & submissive disposition.
She became a shelter favorite and was often allowed to run off-leash in building.
The time came when the court case was over and she was no longer needed as "evidence"...therefore, she was scheduled for euthanization. Her rescuer couldn't allow this to happen to her, not after all she'd endured,
not after seeing what a love-bug, kiss-bull she was,
not after she KNEW she would make a wonderful pet
if she were only allowed to be the happy dog she was meant to be!
She already knew basic commands, was good on the leash, and was great indoors in an apartment or home.
She showed no signs of separation anxiety, no chewing or destructive behavior what-so-ever. She loves all people and children. She can even go on walks and become mates with other dogs.
