Shirley Temple's Story...
I look up at you with a big smile on my face, so earnest and eager to please you and be with you, and hoping that it will be nearly impossible to resist me! I am a blonde brindled girl who has the markings of a regal tiger. I also have a lovely, easy-going personality which makes me a wonderful canine companion-- to a volunteer taking me for a walk, or to a prospective adopter considering making me a permanent member of their family. I am quite easy to be around-- I don't bark much, am housebroken, don't exhibit signs of separation anxiety, love to run, walk, sit, or whatever it is YOU feel like doing. I am affectionate, but not overly needy, and am loyal to the core. When out on a walk with two volunteers and one falls behind, I look back and insist we wait until we are all together again! I am a good solid dog all-around and would make an ideal choice for a first-time dog owner, or an experienced dog owner looking for an easy dog to integrate into the home and family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shirley Temple, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
