Trixie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Trixie's Story...
Trixie is a perfect move-in little dog. She appears to be part basset hound, part doxie, part gosh-knows-what. But whatever she’s made of, she is perfectly well behaved, very mellow, gentle, house trained little darling.

Trixie would be great with kids. She is very friendly and affectionate. She is also great with dogs and with cats.

Trixie weighs maybe 25 pounds and was a recent momma, so she needs to get her girlish figure back, but even a bit plump, she is beautiful girl.

Trixie is about 2 years old, loves the car, loves to sleep on the floor while you are watching TV or preparing dinner, and she’ll follow you around and help you get dressed every day! She LOVES her people! She can also be playful and fun and surely enjoys a good walk!

If you are looking for a smaller dog who will love you forever – and whom you will love forever! – Trixie is your perfect match.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Poway Basset Hound/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Dachshund for sale in Poway, or seeking a Basset Hound/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Dachshund breeders who help with Basset Hound/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
