Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cowboy is one affectionate guy and he loves to give big bear hugs! He is a blue heeler mix that is about 2 years old and weighs around 50 pounds. Cowboy was found as a stray with an eye injury. His eye was surgically removed after his rescue photoshoot but he does not let having one eye slow him down. Cowboy is great with kids and loves belly rubs! He can be dominant with other dogs and does best with lady dogs. He is high energy and loves to run and play. Cowboy is crate trained. Cowboy never skips a beat! He just can’t wait to be part of your family so you can play, relax, and repeat together!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! CPR will be at PetValu in Trumbull on Friday August 30th from 2pm - 6pm. On Saturday August 31st CPR will be at Petsmart in Plainville from 10am - 2pm! On Sunday September 1st CPR will be at PetValu in Southbury from 10am-1pm. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $450 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.
After receipt of your application an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
