Penny's Story...
II'm Penny, a sassy little gal who is full of energy. Now, folks used to call me Scooter -- because my rescuer was a bit confused and didn't realize that I'm not a boy, I'm a girl! So now my new name is Penny -- which hopefully means I'll be rich....not in pennies but in love! I have discovered that I really like being with people and being petted. I didn't have that before, and it's really great to have people around to care for me. I play hard with my brother and sisters and enjoy a nice lap to snuggle up in once I'm done. Do you have a lap for a cute little girl like me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
