Conch's Story...
Comments from the Foster Home: "Conch is a wonderful, affectionate, energetic, and handsome hound. He will nudge you with his snout when he would love some one on one attention from you. He's very social, and we think he'd do great with older (12+) children who can engage him in fun activities, and who are old enough to understand the parameters of playing with a dog of his size...not to mention strength! :D Conch gets along very will with not only his humans, but with small dogs and our other hounds as well. He's just a very handsome, good natured boy!" Please make sure to stop by our "Hounds of the (GPA) Black Brigade to see and learn more about Conch.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Conch, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
