Rubio's Story...
Rubio is a handsome, athletic guy. He's confident and independent and won't be overly needy in the attention department but once he knows you, he makes a wonderful, committed bond. He just won't require a diamond and 12 hours a day for you to prove it's mutual! He'd be OK in a home with a well matched female dog but doesn't get along well with other male dogs. He active and will need more than a walk down the block to make him happy but calms down nicely.

Act quickly to adopt Rubio. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rubio, a Berkeley American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
