If you are looking for a dog that loves to give kisses, then Tex is your guy! He LOVES to give sloppy sugar and will let you rub his belly all day long. He was a stray that was picked up by animal control. We think he is about 1 1/2 yrs and he is working on his manners. We are working on house training and he has mastered crate-training. He gets along great with big and small dogs. He would be best fitted with a family without small kids as he doesn't realize how big and strong he is. We are working with him on leash walking and obeying simple commands. Watch his video listed on the youtube video. This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested NEGATIVE for heartworms. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
