Griffin didn't have an easy start in life so when he was first brought to a shelter in MS, he was very scared and definitely didn't trust humans. It took a lot of patience and love to turn this 3 year old sweetheart into who he is today. He is still shy upon meeting but once he warms up to you, his real, sweet personality will shine through. Griffin is a medium size terrier/ shepherd mix and weighs about 40 lbs. He is super sweet and mellow and loves to hang out with his fellow canine and human companions. While he loves to sunbathe, he is not very playful and prefers to chill instead of going crazy, chasing toys. He is great with kids and loves other dogs, doesn't show any signs of food aggression and doesn't bother cats. If you're looking for a love bug with a unique personality, then look no further, Griffin will be your new BFF.
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and will be receiving treatment while in our care. The adoption fee is $400 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 10am-Noon. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
