Primrose's Story...
I’m a beautiful Golden mix named Primrose. You know, like those lovely, beautiful flowers. I’m a beautiful bloom in my own right, and I certainly won’t lead you down the proverbial “primrose path” by telling you that I’m a wonderful dog. No, I’m honest and faithful as can be, and while I like paths, it’s only while walking with you that I’m truly be happy. I was kept outside all the time, terribly matted, and some of my beautiful coat had to be clipped. Oh, I’ll be just the loveliest lass when it all grows back in completely. I’ve stayed in a foster home, and there it was learned that I’m completely housebroken. I’m also good with other dogs, although I do prefer to eat alone. I’m great at the dog park, though, and love to ride in the car. I’m such a beautiful little girl, about 45-50 pounds, with just the most lovely golden fur. When all those trimmed sections have grown in – bloomed, if you will – I’ll be even more beautiful. The only accessory this good-looking gal needs is a forever home! (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. There will be NO exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Primrose, a Aldie Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
