Dutch's Story...
Hey all you potential families out there looking for just a great all around dog, please meet Dutch.

The following is what his foster mom writes about him:
I just spent quite a bit of time with Dutch and have come to realize he is so under-rated. The one word that best describes him is PERSONALITY! Big personality that goes along with his big body. Not only does he sit and shake, he smiles all the time! He would be a great dog for someone who likes to hike as he comes immediately when you call him as if he has missed you for days.

Occasionally he jumps, but mostly he greets you with his big smile. He is a loyal companion that gets along with other dogs here. He is crate trained and house trained and comes with impeccable house manners. Above and beyond all things, he ADORES people and the kids get a big kick out of his friendly, lover boy attitude.

Although not a designer look, he has a million dollar personality! Dutch uses his bark to tell you what he wants and he expects you to understand. More water please or I’m done being over her with you over there. Want to see a bigger smile, rub his face and his ears. He seems to say, "AHHHH, now that's what I'm talking about." The more time I spend with him, the more I want to squeeze him and love him up. Great dog…kind of like Ugly Betty but without the glasses.

So, here you go...apply for this wonderful dog and make his rescue complete. He is a 2 year old Lab mix (maybe with a little great Dane). He is neutered, up to date on all his shots and heartworm negative. Please help us find Dutch a great new home!

If you would like to adopt Dutch, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dutch, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
