Annie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Annie's Story...
Annie is sweetheart of a girl that has been passed over and we don't know why. She is a beautiful and healthy 11 year old; she is affectionate, obedient, she loves all people...just make eye contact and that tail wags. She rolls over for belly rubs and loves to go for walks on a leash. She is great wth kids. She does not like cats and is fussy about what kind of dog she lives with so she would do best as an only pet. She loves to lay at your feet or follow you around the yard. She rides well in the car. We'd love to find her a home with people who do not leave her for long hours every day. Annie qualifies for our Senior to Senior program, with a reduced adoption fee and other assistance. Please ask us for details. Annie is ready to go home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie, a Abingdon Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Abingdon, or seeking a Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Abingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Abingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Abingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Border Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Abingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
