My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crystal, a 5 year old Lhasa Apso, is the perfect family dog! She is playful and affectionate. Since living with us she has learned how to play catch with a ball and loves her new toys. If you leave a shoe on the floor, she will carry it around like a prized possession, but will give it back without being chewed. She loves people and will greet everyone with her little wiggle butt.

Crystal walks well on a leash and will sit and wait for you to take it off once in the house. She is completely house trained, which is unusual for a dog that was mostly kept in a crate. Yes, she's crate trained but not fond of going in. Can you blame her? But, if necessary, she will settle down in a short time.

At this time, Crystal needs some very expensive dental work (estimate came in at $450 low, $950 high - so it will probably fall somewhere in-between). She is scheduled to have it done on July 9th and will be available to go to a new home shortly thereafter. Of course, any help you'd like to donate (tax deductible) for her vet bill will be most appreciated. Her adoption fee won't begin to cover the expense.

Crystal is being fostered in Canastota, NY and her asking adoption fee is $250.

E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
