Fiona's Story...
Fionna is a 1 1/2 year old female, purebred border collie. Fionna lived in a family with kids ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old. She is great with kids. Fionna gets along with cats. She needs to be introduced to other dogs properly and slowly, but after introductions, she seems to get along fine with other dogs. Fionna knows sit and down and is working on her recall. Fionna doesn't care for fireworks, they make her nervous. Fionna is crate trained and loves her crate. She is a sweetheart and would make a great companion
A completed adoption application must be submitted to NBCR before you can be considered to adopt this dog. There is also a $180 adoption fee. The application can be downloaded from our website www.nebraskabordercollierescue.com or email karenbattreall @cox.net and ask for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Bellevue Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
