Dottie's Story...
Dottie is a 6 year old (DOB January 1, 2003), red and white Cocker Spaniel. This 14 inch tall girl weighs 21.8 pounds. Dottie is a great little companion dog; she loves to cuddle, will join you on the couch, enjoys her spot in bed, and has a tendency to follow those she loves. She is a very sweet, slightly shy dog who would probably feel most secure in a quieter home. Dottie has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Dottie in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $185. (AC)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Owatonna Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
