My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fontina is a beautiful girl, and the only female from her litter. Some estimate the orange tabby population to be about 75% male, so she knows she's special! As gorgeous as she is, she is by no means all about looks. She not only keeps up with the boys in her foster home, she keeps them in line! She is a master pouncer and an intrepid explorer.

She needs a little time to warm up to people, but she sure is worth it. When you convince Fontina that your lap is hers for the taking, she will bring her purrs and snuggle in.

She has thoroughly charmed all of the adult cats in her foster home, and even the most curmudgeonly of them has been caught grooming her. Her fur is a beautiful light orange and very soft, and will be short or medium in length.

Cheddar is a mellow sweetheart. He truly enjoys it when you pet him, and leaves no doubt in your mind as he happily kneads his paws and purrs. In fact, he is a master-kneader! He will knead the blanket he's laying on, the kitten he is napping with, or the air - whichever is most convenient.

Cheddar will often roll over onto his back in order to encourage you to pet his belly. He purrs and kneads the air while you do this, of course. He also enjoys keeping you company at your desk - especially in your lap, happily accepting petting and belly rubs.

Although he is a mellow guy, he is still quite playful and has fun interacting with Fontina and the adult cats in his foster home. Cheddar's fur is a slightly darker shade of orange and will be medium to long in length.

These kittens were born in early April 2009 and have completed their shots and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

If you are interested in meeting these loving and way-too-cute orange tabby kittens, phone our cat coordinator at 503-284-8768 evenings and weekends or fill out our "I'm interested" form. ARCF’s mission is to rescue homeless animals so we do not take in owner released pets.

Please note, we adopt out to the following counties: Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington and Clark.
