Henry's Story...
Pint-sized Henry was rescued from a city shelter, where he had been picked up as a stray. We found Henry curled up in a ball, shivering in his crate. He was frightened at first, but quickly warmed up to his foster mom and the other dogs in the house. Like most Chihuahuas, Henry is nervous around strangers and children. His true, sweet personality emerges quickly once he knows he's safe. Henry would make an excellent lap dog in a calm, adult household. He would be fine around other friendly dogs. We're not sure how he is around cats, but doubt he would have a problem getting along with them. Currently, Henry sleeps in his crate at night, but you can tell he would prefer to sleep on his foster mom's bed. Henry is a standard-size Chihuahua. He weighs 9 lbs. and is about 3 years old. We are working on his housetraining and he's doing quite well, so far. Henry is neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative. This sweet, delicate little boy deserves a loving forever home he can call his own. If you have room on your lap and in your heart for Henry, please fill out our on-line application today or email us for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Carrollton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
