Sam's Story...
22 Jun 09 Just arrived at the Rescue. Orange. Really calm & affectionate. Came in with his lifelong 'brother,' Merlin. Will need to be adopted together. Seems to like other cats, too. Also, did not seem offended/stressed by the Pug that rode in the car with him for 40 minutes so hopefully likes dogs or at least tolerates them. 14 years old and looks really healthy. No obvious dental problems. Passed his Vet exam & received vaccinations today.  The spots around his eyes are pigment color, not infection or injury.  Also, in the pictures, he looks heavy but that is just his fluffy coat; he is actually a very light weight. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Edwards AFB Scottish Fold cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottish Fold for sale in Edwards AFB, or seeking a Scottish Fold cat from a breeder in Edwards AFB.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edwards AFB already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edwards AFB breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottish Fold breeders who help with Scottish Fold rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edwards AFB paves the way for another one to be saved.
