My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eddie, he’s an adorable 3 yr old Shepherd cross who has the most wonderful disposition. He is on the larger side of medium or smaller side of large. He is moderate in energy levels.

Eddie is pretty self entertained hanging out in the backyard for short periods of time, but would much rather snuggles up on the couch with you (he thinks he’s a lap dog). Eddie will give up his own personal comfort just to be near you, like sleeping on the kitchen floor when around the corner is a nice doggie bed. He's always excited to see you when you come home (or just in from the mail box). He is very food motivated & gets really excited when his leash is brought out for a walk. He loves to go for walks and is a perfect gentleman on a leash! His other favourite things include stuffed squeaky toys, playing ball in the yard, his kong, and his dog friends. Eddie hasn’t met a dog, big or small, that he didn’t like. He will bark at people coming to the house, but only because he loves company. Without jumping up or being intrusive, Eddie waits to be acknowledged.

He is completely house trained and house friendly but needs to be watched around food items within his reach. He's a little snoopy. Eddie is also kennel trained. Eddie knows the commands "sit" "down" and "shake a paw”. He is working hard on “stay”. Eddie has taken more than one agility class so if you are interested in playing the game, Eddie would be happy to show you what he can do. Eddie is a gorgeous boy who will make some lucky family or individual a great companion!! He will be your best friend and most loyal companion if given a chance. Please check out >Eddie’s blog

Adoption Application

NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
