Howie's Story...
Howie here! Howie’s it going? Get it? HA! Anyway, I’m a super smart loving young man who loves to play fetch with the children! I also love other dogs and playing with the cat too, though the cat gets annoyed… We’re still friends though. See, I’m a very social loving boy with the brains to match, but my previous owners had no time to spend with me. I will be able to learn a lot of new things if someone just spends some time with me, I promise. I’m very eager to please! My owners were never home, so the mat trained me… I would like to learn the other kind of housebreaking too, but that may take a little patience. I’m a very, very people focused dog who can’t wait to join your family and learn new things!!!3 years old- 12lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howie, a Portland Poodle (Miniature)/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
