As a pup Monty was raised on a farm where he was exposed to cats and horses. Lately he has been spending a lot of his time outdoors but is still a responsive, loving pet.
At 14 months old Monty is still a pup in many ways. Bold, cheerful, obedient and eager to learn Monty will need a new home where there is someone that is willing to continue his training. This dog needs people and although he was being kept outside he should really not be left away from people for any length of time.
Highly intelligent and easy to train, Monty would make an ideal companion for someone that has large breed experience and can follow through to help this handsome boy be the best he can be.
German Sheppards can be extremely protective so socialization is very important. Monty has had a very good start but needs someone willing to continue with ensuring he is a well rounded and healthy dog. Monty is a dog that needs to have a stable home life with a strong pack leader.
This breed needs an owner who is naturally authorative over the dog in a calm, but firm, confident and consistent way.
