Hi - I am Rex! I am a giant puppy - 12 months old in August. I am pretty handsome in a goofy teenager kind of way. I have one brown eye and one blue eye which makes me really cool.

I have been living at a shelter in upstate Maine for many months...until today...when two nice woman came to see me in the pouring rain and took me a wonderful place they call a "foster home."
I essentially grew up at the shelter so I do not have much common sense. I am a curious boy and want to investigate and play with everything I see.
I am pretty smart though. My two-legged friends at the shelter taught me some basic commands - my favorite being "sit" because I always get a treat. I also will give my "paw" and "lie down."
I love my humans and am full of kisses.
I am in love with the two girl dogs at my foster home - I want to run and play with them - but they are ignoring me so far. I am not giving up though...I will win them over with my boyish charm.
I also met a cat today - She was pretty interesting, but I wanted to play with her not eat her. My foster mom told me to leave her alone so I did (more treats for me).
There is a sandbox in my yard - and boy do I love that! I spent quite a bit of time digging to china today.
I am also a toy fanatic. Squeeky tennis balls are my favorite so far.
I appear to be crate trained - and I know to go to the bathroom outside.
With a little training and consistency - I am going to be the best dog in the world.
I am a Husky - so known for running and exploring...You know what that means - I need a fence!
The best home for me would be one with a fenced yard (required) and another young, playful dog for me to be best buddies with.
