Alex's Story...
These pictures don't do him justice - 2-3 year old Alex is much cuter in person - plus, he's an absolute sweetheart! We found Alex at a shelter - thin and obviously neglected. Nonetheless, he was a perfect gentleman, riding in the front seat of the car on his way to the vet office. He snuggled non-stop with our volunteer during the entire ride and eventually nodded off to sleep. Alex is on the smaller side, very gentle and easy going - an all-around wonderful golden. He walks well on a leash and is not unruly like you might expect an young one to be. Alex is scheduled to be neutered this week and should be ready for adoption after October 1st.To start the adoption process, please complete the application found on our website - www.grinrescue.org. Local prospects only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a Cleveland Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Cleveland, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Cleveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cleveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cleveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cleveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
