Scout's Story...
Scout is a very cute 3-4 month old male German Shepherd/ Husky. He was rescued from a pound in southern IL with his brother Toby and his sister Pixie. All three of these beautiful babies are very friendly, happy, well adjusted pups and would love homes of their own soon. They will make great additions for families with the time and energy to raise a young pup! They are crate trained and doing very well with their housebreaking. The adoption fee for these darlings is $350. This donation helps to cover their medical expenses and will include their initial vaccines, microchip, worming and neuter. Please email animaladoption@hotmail.com or call (773) 615-9864. Please note that email is the quickest way to receive a response, please allow up to 48 hours for a return phone call. Most animals are in foster homes and animals in foster homes will be seen by appointment only.We are unable to hold an animal for any reason. We ask that you please do not inquire about an animal until you are fully prepared to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Chicago German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
