Monty's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Monty's Story...
Ok - so first off - don't let my age fool you! Though I'm 7 years old (8/1/2009), I have plenty of energy to play when I feel like it - but I can also be a couch potato when I'm chillin' with my people! I only weigh about 22 pounds - I'm a pretty small guy!

I like playing with just about everything - balls, sticks, rope toys, stuffed animals - I like them all!

I like other dogs, but don't care very much for cats. I'm housetrained and walk well on a leash.

I've been dewormed, I'm heartworm negative, am microchipped, up to date with vaccinations, and am also on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

I won't be adopted out to a family with children under the age of 8 - I'm not accustomed to the energy levels of young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a Wake Forest Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Wake Forest, or seeking a Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Wake Forest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wake Forest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wake Forest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Dachshund/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wake Forest paves the way for another one to be saved.
