Merlin's Story...
Merlin and his brothers Marcus and Meeko were born in a field in Franconia. They were rescued by Stray Cat Blues when they were about 8 weeks old.

Merlin was originally named Mellow because his foster mom misread his gender. It wasn’t until he was neutered that she discovered he was a male and changed his name. Merlin is the shy sibling of the trio. He is very playful and curious about his human friends but is also very cautious. He stays at a distance until he is confident that it’s safe….Then he will come over and play and be picked up and petted. Merlin needs a patient and caring family or person for some quiet love that will help him blossom. He is totally vetted: neutered, sibling tested and vaccinated. He also received one treatment of Revolution for fleas and round worms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merlin, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
