Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’ve been here at the shelter since July and am missing my family terribly. They reluctantly had to surrender me and my brother to the shelter because they had to move. It’s a shame we could not go with them but I do have good news. My brother Goliath recently got adopted. Although I am missing him, it is great that he has found a good home. It’s been pretty hard adjusting to this big change in my life but I am hopeful that I too will find a good home.
As you can see from my picture, I am a sweet looking dog and yes, that little grey around my face does show my age. However, don’t let that fool you. I have a good amount of energy for an eight year old. I love long walks along the wooded trail and I even like to jog. The folks here at the shelter say that I could possibly be a good jogging companion. I love staying fit!!! I also like playing with tennis balls and I love the agility course we have here at the shelter. Although I do like to be active, I also enjoy lounging around the house. With that being said, I would do well in a quite home.
You might be interested to know some of the other things I have been working on. I have a good sit and stay. I give my paw when asked. I lie down on command and also heel during walks. So the trainers here at the shelter have done well teaching me the basics. One thing about me that’s not so great is I do have some issues with jumping. I’m sorry to say, I get a little excited and sometimes forget that jumping is not polite. So I’m looking for a person who will continue to work with me on those basic training skills that reinforces good dog behavior.
