Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Greta is a 2 year old Tortie. She too, had to have been someone's cat at one time. She is great with people, just not other animals. Also, when she was dumped, she managed to pickup feline aids. Now the word Aids is a very scary term. However, it is not really that bad and it's not catchy to any thing except another cat. So, you can't get it, and since she's not fond of any other cats, she won't be fighting with anything since It's only transfered through deep bite puncture wounds, or the transfer of bodily fluids, like a bite in a fight. This is what all outside cats risk on a daily basis, the chance of getting feline aids or luke. ALL cats who go outside are faced with coming into contact with these diseases.
Cats with Aids can live a long happy, healthy life. It's not like distemper, which can kill them in 21 days, feline luke, which is fatal in about 2 years. It's just a scary name. I know plenty of people who have aids positive cats and there are no problems.
Well, having said all of that, Greta is spayed, all shots and is all set, medically, for one year. She really is a nice cat and hopfully, the 2nd time around, she will get someone more loving and much more responsible, At least that is our goal for her.
For an adoption application, or if you have any questions, email Rfalaguerr@aol.com.
The adoption donation is $100.00 each after an approved application as all of our cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered, been wormed and had age appropriate shots. This helps defray the expense we incur at the vets and we are in 100% compliance with the State of Rhode Island Mandatory Spay/Neuter Law. Our adoption donation is a real bargain, as many of you may already know. Locally a spay is $270.00, a neuter $150.00 and office visits are $50.00 or more, and the costs for the aids/luke test is $48.50. Add to that the cost of a rabies, distemper and worming charges, and you can see that our adoption donation us very reasonable. This all means that there is less out of pocket for people who adopt from C.A.T.S. and WE, at CATS, ARE IN 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
To obtain an application, please email me at Rfalaguerr@aol.com or if you have any quesstions, please email them to me.
C.AT.S. policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/luke, and all age appropriate shots. We will not adopt any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions.
We are at the Seekonk, Ma PETCO every Sunday from 10:00 am to 3 PM. So you are welcome to stop by and see the kittens and cats that we have available. In order to take home your new family member on Sunday, you must have already been approved prior to Sunday.
We do not sell cats or kittens, this is an adoption NOT A SALE. Each application will be screened and the application deemed the best will be the one selected.
