My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, my name is Heathcliff, but my friends call me Cliffy. I'm a young boy, maybe 2 years into my life and despite my unfortunate, current circumstance, am a happy-go-lucky fellow. I have been at the shelter for a while now, and for reasons I can't understand, visitors have not shown much interest in me. I have a beautiful red coat, a sweet disposition and am super affectionate. I know SIT, and am currently working on Down and Leave-It. I'm proud to say I'm a well-mannered guy because I do not jump up on people and I take treats gently from your hand. I could use some leash work but since I so desperately want to have a human to call my own, I will gladly oblige to your loving correction. I like toys and have no issue sharing them with you, but I've been known to try to hide them in my blankets. If you have other canine companions, no problemo—I adore other doggies! Living with another woofer would be a most excellent gift. We could romp and play in a big yard...what fun! Oh, if only someone would come down and ask for me! That would be the best gift of all. When you meet me, you'll learn for yourself why the Volunteers draw hearts around my name.
