Corky's Story...
Introducing Corky! You can't help but smile when you first meet this quirky little gal. We think she might be a mix of Cattle Dog, Blue Heeler, (Martian maybe?) we don't know really but it becomes completely unimportant when you meet this docile and dainty dog. Corky is only about a year old but she has seen a lot of sadness in her short time. She is ready to move past all that nonsense and start being someone's best friend. Would you consider making her dreams comes true? We can guarantee she will be the most unique dog on the block!

If you would like to give Corky her forever home, come visit her at the shelter, or contact her adoption consultant, Debby, at 440-364-1286 or by e-mail at djg_dogs@cox.net. Corky can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corky, a Berea Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Berea, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
