Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear is a handsome black chow, about 4 years old, a little on the small side. The staff fell in love with him at a small town shelter, but there weren't enough people seeing Bear to get him adopted, and his time was growing short, so we took him on.
Bear has a good (if chow-like) disposition. He greets you with kisses and gets along with other dogs. He is occasionally protective of his neck area, probably due to some harsh treatment in the past. If he is worried he moves his head as if to bite, but there is no fierceness and he forgets about it immediately. For someone who knows chows, this should not be a big problem. He does well with kids petting him but probably should not be in a home with small children or where he will be handled roughly. He is currently in a boarding kennel. If you think Bear might be a match for you, contact Discarded Miracles (discardedmiracles@gmail.com) to arrange a meeting.
