Shellie's Story...
Shellie was found hiding in someone's back yard, terrified. Once she felt secure, it didn't take her long to revert to her friendly, outgoing self. Shellie is on the small side for a lab mix, weighing about 45 pounds. She is a recent puppy and has plenty of playful energy. She is very affectionate. She has had no trouble getting along with the other dogs she has been introduced to. She also knows some of the basic commands. If you are interested in making Shellie part of your family, please e-mail discardedmiracles@gmail.com to set up a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shellie, a Los Alamitos Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Los Alamitos, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Los Alamitos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Alamitos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Alamitos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Alamitos paves the way for another one to be saved.
